How Spot the Slop Works

Three short texts appear. Two were typed by actual humans with actual opinions. One was generated at temperature 0.7 by a model that has never felt rain, missed a bus, or had a favorite. Your job: out the synthetic one before the clock dies.

  1. Three cards appear — read fast, the timer is hungry
  2. Tap the card you think is AI-slop
  3. Faster correct picks build a combo multiplier
  4. Three wrong picks and the eval is over
  5. After each round, the tell is revealed

What Does Slop Smell Like?

The tells are hand-authored: generic vividness with no specifics, compulsive hedging, listicle cadence, the dreaded "in conclusion," and em-dash overuse that no human keyboard has ever produced voluntarily. Learn the smell. Trust the ick.

Slop Fact: The single most load-bearing word in detecting AI prose is "delve." The second is "tapestry." We did not include either, because that would be too easy, and we respect you.
