Pitch Lock

Epoch 1 0 Lock 0%

The model has drifted off-key.

Hum it back onto the target curve. Yes, out loud, in public, for science. No mic? Use the arrow keys or drag.

How Pitch Lock Works

The model has drifted off-key — and, as is tradition, off-alignment. A glowing target pitch curve scrolls across the screen. Your job is to keep your own pitch locked onto it long enough to retune the weights back into harmony.

  1. A target curve scrolls right-to-left through the lock zone
  2. Hum a steady tone — your detected pitch shows as a moving cursor
  3. Keep the cursor inside the target band to build your lock %
  4. Survive the epoch; trickier contours and faster tempo follow

No microphone? Still fully playable.

If you decline mic access (or you're somewhere humming would get you fired), pick Keys / drag. Use Up / Down arrows or drag the cursor to chase the curve manually. Same scoring, zero embarrassment.

Slop Fact: Pitch detection here is a real-time autocorrelation over your mic buffer — the same trick a tuner uses, minus the part where it judges your singing. The judging is a separate module, and it judges everyone.
